Here are some things to consider before getting your first tattoo !!!
Where ? You need to consider such things as your workplace, night club entry etc. You may want to show it at certain times and cover it at others. Certain places also hurt more than others i.e. directly onto the bone. The pain element or anxiety/curiosity can be overcome by simply opting to use the painless cream available within my studio. This takes 1 hour to numb the area, so you get the cream applied to the area and dressed and then return 1 hour later to have the tattoo carried out.
What Design ? A tattoo is for life and not just for a bet or to be like your mates. Once it is done it cannot be rubbed out. You may choose a smaller design to overcome your curiosity but 9 out of 10 people end up coming back to get these smaller tattoos covered with something bigger once they know what it feels like. Therefore paying for 2 tattoos when all they really wanted was 1 to start with. You want something that when you are older still remains to be seen as a nice piece of artwork and not a regret or something you done on a stag weekend with the lads. A tattoo is for life not a day !!!
Can I bring a friend ? Not a problem bring a friend if you like. My studio is not of a great size so therefore a maximum of 1 person to attend with you. There is always another member of staff present and privacy is given at your request. By making an appointment it makes it your time and nobody else can walk in on top of you and we can set aside enough time to be able to complete the design you choose. The only thing we ask is that your mobile phone be switched off during tattoo being carried out to prevent interruptions. How much will it cost ? This all depends on the size of the piece and how much work is entailed etc. Choose your design and where you want to put it and I’ll quote you the price is how I work.
Aftercare of my Tattoo ? Upon completion of your tattoo I will give you an aftercare sheet before you leave my studio. This contains all the information as to how to look after your new tattoo and I also ensure you have my contact details, just call no matter how small the problem. All tattoos carried out in my studio are photographed and held within my studio to show the completed piece as it looked when you leave my studio. I always recommend an ice pack and elevation once you get home to bring out any bruising you may have and keep swelling to a minimum. Also 2 pain killers may help to make life easier for you during the first few days after your tattoo has been done.
“But my friend said…….” I hear it all the time “My friend said use pile cream or Vaseline” WRONG!!! We and the manufacturers of the inks used within my studio state only Bepanthen is to be applied to your tattoo during the initial stages of your tattoo aftercare. Nothing else is to be used otherwise it will wreck your tattoo and waste money well spent on that long awaited tattoo. Bepanthen is on sale in my studio, so no excuses that you couldn’t buy it !!! ***REMEMBER YOU HAVE TO WEAR IT FOR LIFE*** |
