This was my first tattoo. a tribal on my arm with red ink around the outside of the design. Dave recommended that I use the painless cream because it was my first tattoo and it works. didn't feel a thing until towards the end, I’m very happy with my tattoo and I will defiantly go back to Dave if I want another one. from what I’ve seen in his studio compared to others i looked at he would probably be the best in the north east. he is even there after your tattoo to make sure your ok. And if that isn't enough he even gave my mam advice about her bad back!.

excellent hygienic studio, fast clean work (no blood), enlightened conversation, good advice and aftercare. Also explained the dangers to me for when my arms get really massive). recommended to all as best in the area.

We went to Dave for a tattoo each it was gav's first tattoo and he felt totally relaxed same as me. Were from Milton Keynes and will definitely be back again the standard of work was amazing, hygiene impeccable and an all round great experience. Definitely the man to see!!!

I met Davey through a friend and asked him to do a cover up of an awful tattoo I got as a young lad. Davey customized my tattoo and did it freehand on my back and what a result! It is fantastic. His flair for art is great and his banter puts you at ease straight away. Nothing is too much trouble for this guy and his inks are second to none. My tattoo is just like Davey, big, bold, bright and something to keep for life. Go to this guy and you will see what I am talking about. Keep up the great work Davey, you are one in a million!

I had my first tattoo done on a visit to Tyneside, I went with my mum and sister who have been many times, I was very nervous as i am afraid of needles but Dave and Muriel explained everything and made me feel really relaxed, my tattoo is a beautiful piece of work which I am very proud of and it has been greatly admired in my home town of jedburgh. I will definitely go back to Dave if i have another one.

What can I say... its easy to come to this site and question the fact that every review for Dave is 5 star but he thoroughly deserves it. I've had 2 tattoos in the past and although they were good the experience was nothing like this one. The ink was awesome, the studio clean, banter was excellent and Daves ideas for customisation were phenominal.All round a brilliant bloke and a legend in his field. Thanks dave ur the boy!!!

Very hygienic, very helpful. Colours are superb. Had piece done for my son on my left arm. Couldn't be happier. will definitely return for any future tattoo carried out 10/10. Friendly atmosphere helped ease the nerves too! Everything explained throughout which also put mind at rest.

Straight talking bloke and a valuable source of help and experience. Take the advice about the aftercare cream I have had a number of tattoo sessions and in each case the cream helped reduce scabbing, no itching and fab colour retention! Best go with definite idea of what you want and I am delighted with the results and not what I done, take a crappy small picture in and say "I want that one!" Cheers Dave

Today I got my first ever tattoo, I was very nervous but was made to feel very relaxed and Dave numbed my wrist with a can of freezing cold coke and I hardly felt a thing! My tattoo is of a black star (outline only) on my wrist and my partner also go the same star (also his first tattoo.) We chose these tattoos in memory of a close friend Graham Bell. We would both recommend Dave's studio to anyone. Friendly atmosphere and all well explained and very clean. Thanks Dave!

It's my 5th Tattoo and I'd been everywhere to find what I wanted - internet, magazines the lot! - I spoke to Dave who's done one of my others, he got his design books out and in a matter of minutes hade merged designs to give me exactly what I wanted (and had dreamed of) the colours and everything were perfect - I have the most amazing flaming phoenix now and the colour just keeps getting better! It's the most relaxing & enjoyable tattoo experience ever - I'll never go anywhere else!!!!

Been goin to davey for the last 40 years for my tattoos. From my first to my last tattoo I wouldn't go anywhere else. He is a great guy who knows what he is on about from designs to inks and health issues regarding tattoos. I work in a hospital and believe me this bloke puts more to health and care issues than an operating theatre does. Cheaper doesn't always mean better. Pay that extra for a hell of a tattoo from Davey as well as knowing your 110% safe in his hands. Dave you are the legend mate.

No need to think this is the place for ink. Davey is a one of a kind and a legend at that. Koi carp back piece well worth every penny. This is the place for custom work. No hurrying you out the door to get the next man and his money in like many other local studios. Davey has all the time in the world for you. The best run studio in the area by a million miles. Wow wow wow 5 stars all day long for this guy. Done my research on the web looking for tattooist to carry out back piece for me and came across daves website this guy is the real deal. I travelled from Coventry to see him and boy was it worth it. Ink, talent, hygiene this guy has it all. Been tattooed in Japan, Spain but now found the real deal here in England. Dave you are the man keep up the great work. Out of this world cannot put into words how happy I am with my tattoo. Bizzy needles matey see you when I come back up.
